Breaking: Jamie Benn Suffers Frightening Injury, To Miss Start of Season
A frightening development for Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn, as the team has announced that he suffered a collapsed lung in Tuesday's exhibition game and will undergo surgery immediately.

The Stars say that he will be reevaluated in four weeks, but is expected to make a full recovery.
He will miss at least the first couple of weeks of the season.
The injury came late in the third period of the Stars' preseason game against the Minnesota Wild Tuesday night.

The cameras don't pick up anything noticeable, but he can be seen a bit hunched over while skating off the ice at the end of this shift. He tried one more shift, but was done after that.
Benn has been a fixture in the Stars lineup for the past 16 years. He won the Art Ross with 87 points in 2014-15, and overall, in 1,192 regular season games, he has 399 goals and 956 points with a plus/minus rating of +81. He's also handed out 1.984 hits.
Last season, Benn, now 36, had 16 goals and 49 points in 80 games in 15:18 average time on ice per night.
