Video: L.A Kings' Anze Kopitar Hints at Retirement Following 2025-26 Season

The Los Angeles Kings could look much different after this season as it's very likely Anze Kopitar retires.

The 38-year-old veteran is entering the final season of his current contract, and all signs are pointing to a retirement announcement coming at some point this year. Just ask Kopitar himself.

The Kings legend recently cut an interview to preview next season, and was flat out asked about what his future looked like. Kopitar admitted this could be the end of his NHL career:

"This could be my last season in the NHL, yes."

The Kings are likely going all in this year, so expect to see GM Ken Holland push all his chips in the middle and move some of his young talent, and a couple of draft picks as the Kings look to make one more run at the Stanley Cup, and get Kopitar another ring.
