Blues Trade Rumors: St. Louis Listening to Trade Offers

The St. Louis Blues are off to a 3-7-2 start through 12 games of the season and keep an eye on them on the trade market. If things continue to go south these next two weeks, there's a very good chance in November, we see a significant trade from GM Doug Armstrong.

There's been plenty of chatter recently about Brayden Schenn, which was the same story last season, but the Blues' captain isn't the only player who could be moved. There's rumors circulating that Armstrong has received calls on Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, Schenn, and goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Binnington feels like someone who could end up in Edmonton, meanwhile the Vancouver Canucks, New Jersey Devils, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Montreal Canadiens are all looking for help up front, and could make a impactful trade with the Blues to land one of their forwards.

Schenn has two seasons left on his contract at $6.5 million AAV, and owns a 15-team no-trade clause.  Thomas and Kyrou have the same exact contract, both with full no-trade clauses, signed through 2031, and owed $8.12 million per season. It's more likely we see Schenn moved, and perhaps Binnington than it is either Kyrou or Thomas, but teams are going to try hard to take advantage of the struggles in St. Louis to pry away their talent.

Binnington has one more season on his deal and holds a 14-team no-trade clause. With Joel Hofer ready for full-time duties, and the goalie of the future for the Blues, it wouldn't be out of the question for Armstrong to take advantage of what trade value Binnington has left and fetch a return to help this organization long term.

Keep an eye on the Blues, if the losing continues these next couple of weeks, it's not out of the question a fire sale will occur.
