NHL Rumors: Seattle Kraken Have 3 Trade Candidates To Watch
The Seattle Kraken have had a solid start to the 2025-26 season. At the time of this writing, they have a 6-2-4 record and are third in the Pacific Division.
However, if the Kraken fall back down to Earth and end up dropping in the standings, they would be a team to watch in the trade market. Because of this, let's look at three players the Kraken could trade once we get closer to the deadline.
Jaden Schwartz
Schwartz could be a very popular target for contenders if the Kraken end up being sellers this season. The 33-year-old forward is having a great start to the season, as he has recorded four goals and 10 points in 12 games. He also has over 100 games of playoff experience and a Stanley Cup on his resume, which add to his appeal.
Mason Marchment
Marchment would be another pending UFA to watch on the Kraken if they are out of a playoff spot near the deadline. The 30-year-old forward is exactly the kind of hard-nosed player that playoff teams love to add, as he is also capable of providing solid offense. With this, he could be a very popular target this season.
Jamie Oleksiak
Oleksiak has been in the rumor mill for quite some time, so he would certainly be another player to keep an eye on. The 6-foot-7 blueliner is a pending UFA and would be a nice pickup for a playoff club looking to add a shutdown defenseman.
