Blackhawks Trade Rumors: 3 Trade Candidates Linked to Chicago

The Chicago Blackhawks have arrived, and now it's on GM Kyle Davidson to fill in the gaps.

Their roster is still very young, but with this newfound success comes a need for infusing some veteran talent, preferably players with term left on their contract. The Blackhawks have loads of draft picks, high-end prospects, and young roster players to dangle on the trade market, add that to the $20.4 million in cap space, and Davidson has all the necessary tools to make a splash.

Recently, Daily Faceoff's Tyler Yaremchuk commented on the Blackhawks potential roster moves, and listed three players who could be in Davidson's radar:

Tyler Yaremchuk: At some point, you don’t just want to have 11 kids in your lineup. That’s not really how these Cup contenders get built. And that ties into an #AskDFO that our friend Mechanicsville put in. If you were Kyle Davidson, who would you want to add to your roster in a trade? We touched on this last week. For me, you can go look at the Daily Faceoff trade board. Owen Tippett, young, skilled, term. Jordan Kyrou, middle-aged, skilled, has term. You can look at (Andrei) Svechnikov and the rumors that have popped up with him in Carolina. To me, you can go sacrifice some future assets, as long as it’s a guy in his mid-to-late twenties and comes with term.

Tippett, Kyrou, and Svechnikov have all been in several different trade rumors the past few weeks, so it makes some sense to see them listed. Kyrou has a full no-movement clause, however he seems to be the first one scratched in St. Louis when things aren't going their way.

Svechnikov holds a 10-team no-trade clause, and has been linked to the Vancouver Canucks as well. Meanwhile, Tippett is hot and cold in Philly, and hasn't been the consistent scorer they were hoping for this season.

Keep an eye on the Blackhawks, there's a big move coming as they continue to climb the standings in the Western Conference.
