Celebrini, Wilson, Suzuki named to Team Canada's Olympic Roster
Team Canada's Men's Olympic hockey roster is set, and there's some surprises among the mix. Macklin Celebrini, Tom Wilson, and Nick Suzuki are in, and Connor Bedard, Seth Jarvis, and Sam Bennett were left off the initial roster.
Canada named 25 players to the team, six of which were locked in months ago. The team resembles much of the same group who won the 4 Nations Faceoff, and they're certainly a heavy favorite to win gold in Milan.
Macklin Celebrini, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon
Mitch Marner, Connor McDavid, Sam Reinhart
Brad Marchand, Brayden Point, Tom Wilson
Nick Suzuki, Bo Horvat, Brandon Hagel
Mark Stone, Anthony Cirelli
Cale Makar, Devon Toews
Josh Morrissey, Colton Parayko
Travis Sanheim, Drew Doughty
Thomas Harley, Shea Theodore
Jordan Binnington
Logan Thompson
Darcy Kuemper
Team Canada 🇨🇦 has created a list of standby players in case of injury before the Olympics, according to GM Doug Armstrong, but he won't specify how many are on it beyond saying it's "long, but not too long."

Immediately, the attention goes to who was left off from the 4 Nations team, and the list includes the injured Jarvis, Sam Bennett, Travis Konecny, and Samuel Montembeault. While Bedard certainly made his case before getting hurt and is likely the first replacement forward named, if needed, Matthew Schaefer is likely in the same boat on the blueline.Interesting: Doug Armstrong said players under consideration as injury replacements will have the choice to stay in the testing program.

They must continue to do so, if they wish to be added.
Team Canada is set, where do they finish at the Olympics? Let us know in the comments.
