Sabres Rumors: Lindy Ruff to be replaced in Buffalo

The Buffalo Sabres are making drastic changes, and it could seep behind the bench as well. There's several rumors flying around after Kevyn Adams was fired, that head coach Lindy Ruff is next.

The only thing is, Ruff won't be fired, and will be reportedly moved into a management role, and stay with the franchise he's been part of for most of his hockey career.

Paul Bissonnette said the very same thing on a recent episode of Spittin' Chiclets, so it feels like it won't be too long before the coach is announced. Biz called Adams being canned as well last week, so he's been on the mark the last few reports.

As for the Sabres, they're a mess and they've now finally hit the reset button, which is much needed, but will be a tough pill to swallow for the fan base. The Sabres are going to sell off some of their expensive contracts, they are going to tear it down, and there could be a lot more pain coming before any pleasure.

Look for the Sabres to move Alex Tuch, and listen on trade offers on Owen Power. They are a lottery-bound hockey club, and the best thing that could happen to them, is if they win the lottery again, and this time around draft Gavin McKenna.

The Sabres' fan base needs some excitement in their lives, and with a new head coach coming, a new GM, and a new direction, things could finally be changing in Buffalo. We'll see how it all plays out before this season's trade deadline, and how much heavy lifting is left for the summer.
