Watch—Brady Tkachuk Furious at Ullmark Rumors: 'F-----g Mindblowing'

The situation around the Ottawa Senators has reached a new low. The unsubstantiated Linus Ullmark rumors and team's controversial statement about it have left many puzzled, and the players infuriated.

Captain Brady Tkachuk spoke out in no uncertain terms about the circus enveloping the team with regards to the salacious rumors, calling it "F-----g mindblowing." (Warning: offensive language):

It's pretty f-----g bulls--t. I don’t think anybody’s pretty happy about a narrative being spread like that. It’s OK for people to critique our on-ice performance, but when it gets into family, it’s pretty f-----g bulls--t.

It’s embarrassing that it got to the point that it did. I can tell you for free I’m not happy about it one bit. It's not true. In our society and life people can just say whatever they want and have no repercussions.

Honestly I really feel bad for Linus. Nobody knows what he’s going through. But the fact that he has to even deal with this and even have to think about it. All we care about for him is getting what he needs, and we’ve said from Day 1 that he has our support. Now that he has to deal with this, it’s f-----g mindblowing.

Regardless of the veracity of the rumors, at least one insider is reporting that there have been 'tensions' between the goaltender and the Senators, and that his name has been 'out there' around the league.

Ullmark took a personal leave of absence from the Sens at the end of December, the day after a particularly rough night when he was pulled mid-game after giving up four goals on 14 shots. There is no timeline for his return.

On the season, the netminder has an .881 save percentage and 2.95 goals against average this season, with a 14-8-5 mark.

The Senators are second to last in the Eastern Conference with a 20-19-5 record, and are seven points back of the Wild Card spots currently held by the Buffalo Sabres and Washington Capitals.
