3 Offseason Trade Destinations for Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz
The Toronto Maple Leafs should be making multiple changes to their roster after their disappointing 2025-26 season. One trade candidate who should be watched during the offseason is goaltender Anthony Stolarz. With the Maple Leafs now having a surplus of NHL-caliber goalies, the possibility of Stolarz getting dealt during the summer should not be ruled out.
Because of this, let's look at three teams that could look to acquire Stolarz during the offseason.
Philadelphia Flyers
Could the Flyers consider a reunion with Stolarz? Samuel Ersson has struggled mightily for the majority of this season, and it would make sense if the Flyers looked to upgrade between the pipes because of it. Stolarz would have the potential to form a strong tandem with Dan Vladar if brought back to Philadelphia.
Edmonton Oilers
Goaltending is still a major issue for the Oilers. Tristan Jarry has not been the answer for Edmonton between the pipes, and they could look to address their goaltending again this offseason because of it. This will even be more of the case if they do not bring back pending UFA Connor Ingram. Thus, the Oilers could be a team to watch when it comes to Stolarz.
Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights also would make sense as a landing spot for Stolarz. Their goaltending has been a disaster this season, as Adin Hill has an .868 save percentage and Carter Hart has a .870 save percentage. Akira Schmid has been their best goalie with an .893 save percentage, but it is clear that the Golden Knights need to improve between the pipes. Bringing in Stolarz could help with that.
