3 Potential Trade Destinations for Maple Leafs' Max Domi

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to look much different to start next season, and veteran forward Max Domi is one of the Leafs prime trade candidates.

Domi has been inconsistent as ever since he's joined the Maple Leafs, working hard to find a secure role within the lineup, but essentially, Craig Berube hasn't been able to find him a permanent home. Domi's inconsistencies are going to lead to a trade this offseason, even with Domi holding a 13-team no-trade clause.

The versatile veteran has two years remaining on his contract at $3.75 million AAV, and if Domi is moved, look for the Maple Leafs to target a third-line center in return. Toronto's expected to make major changes on the back end, which includes moving on from Morgan Rielly, and there's growing speculation they'll move one of their goaltenders in a trade package for a first-line right-winger who can play nightly with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies.

As for Domi, while he's living the dream playing for the Maple Leafs, it's time to make a move and shake up the look and feel of Toronto's forward group. Domi's appealing to some teams who need some more versatility within their lineup, and he's capable of playing either wing, or down the middle if need be.

Domi's been linked to the Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, and the Winnipeg Jets, as Brad Treliving had Domi included in trade offers he was making before the trade deadline, and before Treliving was eventually fired.

With a new GM coming in, and likely a new coach behind the bench, the Maple Leafs are going to look much different next season, and Domi is one player you can circle, who's very likely wearing a different jersey to start next season.
