LA Kings To Bring In NCAA Leading Goal Scorer This Summer
The Los Angeles Kings have improved slightly of late in the goal-scoring department, but despite the addition of Artemi Panarin, putting the biscuit in the basket is still something the team will be looking to improve on significantly for next season.
To that end, they have announced that they are bringing in college hockey's top goal-scorer from the 2025-26 season. Free agent Hayden Stavroff of Dartmouth will be at the Kings Development Camp this summer, as reported by Mayor's Manoor.
Stavroff, 21, a sophomore, was the ECAC's Player of the Year this season, and led the NCAA with 29 goals in a big breakout season. He had just 10 in his freshman year. Overall, he posted 48 points in 35 games with a plus/minus rating of +15.
He was also named Ivy League Player of the Year and was a Hobey Baker Top 10 finalist.
This will be Stavroff's second go-round in an NHL team's Development Camp, as he attended the Washington Capitals camp for top prospects and potential future NHLers last summer.
Dartmouth head coach Reid Cashman told Mayor's Manor, “I haven’t seen anybody else in college hockey have the puck come off their stick the way it does for Hayden."
Yea.....good luck stopping that

"He is the best college goal scorer I have ever seen. On top of his goal scoring, Hayden competes at a high level and plays a selfless form of hockey.”
Stavroff will get another chance to show his wicked shot close-up for an NHL team's talent evaluators, and perhaps even land himself a pro contract this summer.
