NHL Rumors: 3 Free-Agency Fits For Canucks' Evander Kane

Evander Kane, Canucks

Evander Kane is not expected to be back with the Vancouver Canucks next season. It is not difficult to understand why, as the Canucks are rebuilding and the 34-year-old Kane struggled this campaign.

While Kane had a down year in 2025-26, he should still generate interest from teams in free agency this summer. Due to this, let's look at three teams that he could be a good fit on.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild could be a team to watch when it comes to Kane this offseason. They could use more secondary offensive production in their bottom six, and Kane is capable of providing just that when playing at his best. Furthermore, he would fit nicely on a Wild team that values grit and toughness, as he plays a heavy game.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights could look to boost their bottom six this offseason, and Kane could be an interesting veteran forward for them to bring in because of it. He would give the Golden Knights a bit more depth scoring and could work well on their third line if he bounced back with them.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks could be another team to keep an eye on when it comes to Kane this offseason. When looking at their current roster, Kane could be a solid fit on their third or fourth line. Furthermore, with the Ducks being a team on the rise, it could benefit them bringing in a veteran with a lot of playoff experience like Kane.
