NHL Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Canucks' Teddy Blueger

Teddy Blueger is among the most notable pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) centers heading into the offseason. If the Vancouver Canucks do not re-sign and he hits the market, he should generate a good amount of interest as a free agent.

Due to this, let's look at three teams that could sign Blueger if he tests free agency this summer.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Could a reunion between Blueger and the Penguins be in the cards? The Penguins were linked to Blueger leading up to the deadline, and he would have the potential to be a solid addition to their bottom six if signed. He would also fit nicely on their penalty kill again, which would not be a bad thing at all for Pittsburgh.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings need to improve their bottom six next season, so a player like Blueger could grab their attention. He could slot nicely on their third line but could also move up and down their lineup if needed. Overall, with the Red Wings needing upgrades throughout their roster, bringing in a solid two-way center like Blueger could benefit them.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers could look to improve their bottom six this summer, and Blueger would have the potential to be a good fit on their roster because of it. This is especially so if players like Adam Henrique, Jason Dickinson, and Jack Roslovic end up signing elsewhere in free agency this summer.
