NHL Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Panthers' A.J. Greer

A.J. Greer, Panthers

While the Florida Panthers had a rough 2025-26 season, A.J. Greer had a career year with the Atlantic Division club. In 78 games this season with the Cats, he set new career highs with 17 goals, 15 assists, and 32 points. He also had 203 hits on the season.

Due to this, Greer will generate a lot of interest if he decides to test the free-agent market this summer. If he does become a UFA this offseason, these three teams could look to sign him.

Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers could be a team to keep an eye on if Greer hits the free-agent market this offseason. They could benefit by adding more secondary scoring to their bottom six, and Greer showed this season that he is capable of providing just that. His hard-nosed style of play could also make him a great fit on a Flyers club that values that.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings should be looking to improve their bottom six this offseason after their major collapse this campaign. Because of this, a player like Greer has the potential to grab their attention. He could slot very nicely on their third line and would also give them some much-needed toughness as they look to take that next step in 2026-27.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights are another club that could look to bring in Greer this offseason if he hits the market. They simply need more forward depth in their bottom six, and Greer would have the potential to be a good fit on their roster because of it. Due to this, it would not be shocking if they tried to land Greer during the summer.
