NHL Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Red Wings' David Perron
After a huge collapse down the stretch, the Detroit Red Wings have officially extended their playoff drought to 10 years. With this, it is clear that they will be making some changes to their roster during the summer.
One player who the Red Wings very well could not bring back is veteran forward David Perron. If the veteran forward hits the market this summer, these three teams could be in the mix to sign him in free agency.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche could be a team to watch if Perron becomes a free agent this offseason. Perron would have the potential to give their bottom six a nice boost if signed due to his ability to provide decent secondary offensive production. The Avalanche would also give Perron the chance to play for a top contender, which certainly could interest the 37-year-old.
Florida Panthers
The Panthers certainly should be looking to add to their forward depth during the summer. Bringing in Perron on an affordable one-year deal would make sense for them because of it. The Panthers have had success bringing in veterans over the last few years, so it would be understandable if they were open to bringing Perron in to boost their bottom six.
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings could be another team to keep an eye on when it comes to Perron. He would slot nicely in their top nine and would have the potential to give them a bit more offensive production. He would also provide them with another option for their power play.
