The Utah Mammoth Make A Massive Trade Ahead of Game 3
The Utah Mammoth has found itself in the playoffs in its second season as an NHL organization. Led by head coach Andre Tourigny, finishing the regular season 43-33-6 and 4th in the Central Division.
Ahead of their third playoff game against the Vegas Golden Knights, the team twisted the knife in the Knights organization with a unique initiative.
They're trying to engender fandom in the hockey community in the desert, and did so with a cold way of doing it.
A jersey exchange.
The kind of trade no hockey team owner wants to see, as their colors are thrown away like cares in the wind. The ultimate trade, for material goods, and often one of optimism.
We’ve exchanged all of the Mammoth jerseys available for the VGK exchange.

Tusks Up In The Desert
This trade had no professional players involved, but it cuts deep into the image of the organization. One who has never shown loyalty to its players, including Marc-Andre Fleury, and fired Bruce Cassidy, who has won a Stanley Cup with the team.
This feeling the image evokes should be familiar.
The series is tied 1-1 with Game 3 happening as we speak.
The Golden Knights finished the regular season in the Pacific Division, which Connor McDavid said was a pillow fight.
"Yeah, obviously we're fortunate to play in this division. A lot of teams are fortunate to play in this division. It's a bit of a pillow fight right now, but yeah, thankful obviously to not have lost any ground. That being said, we got to find a way to win some games here on the road. Two big ones obviously against Utah and Vegas. And we got to make some ground too. So, mega challenge ahead."
There's no telling what will happen in Game 3, but the Mammoth have just sent a huge message to the Golden Knights before puck-drop: We rule the desert.
