Toronto Maple Leafs general manager John Chayka has made some drastic changes to his team's roster, in a very short period of time, and it sounds like there's one more big move on the way. According to multiple reports, the Leafs are still listening on defenceman Morgan Rielly, and are open to giving the longest-tenured Leaf a change of scenery.

Rielly has submitted a list of four teams he's willing to accept a trade to, which included all Western Conference teams, and while there was an apparent deal almost complete with the San Jose Sharks, it appears the Sharks have decided to go in another direction, as they've signed Jacob Trouba to a long-term deal, and traded for all of Darnell Nurse's remaining contract.

Rielly's inked through the next four seasons at $7.5 million AAV, and his no-movement clause is in tact for two more years, before that changes to a 10-team approved trade list. Rielly's played for Jim Hiller before, who was an assistant under Mike Babcock, and Hiller's a big fan of Rielly's game, so we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out. Rielly had himself one of his worst seasons defensively of his career last year, and was among the league leaders for goals against at even strength.

The Leafs have added Emil Andrae, Darren Raddysh, and re-signed Troy Stecher, so they have depth to work with, plus, if they can move Rielly's contract off the books, it gives Chayka a ton of flexibility to sign another proven blueliner, or keep the resources for a future trade leading into next season's trade deadline.

At this point, it feels like a 50/50 chance Rielly is back next season, but if he's moved, look for the Ducks, Kings, Mammoth or Kraken to get a deal done, and don't be surprised to see the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Kyle Dubas very interested in courting Rielly as well.
