Anthony Mantha Finally Lands Free Agent Deal
Anthony Mantha went into unrestricted free agency this summer coming off a career year. He has now converted those 33 goals with the Pittsburgh Penguins into a two-year, $9.5 million contract with the Pens' division rival, the New Jersey Devils.

The deal has an AAV of $4.75 million. It appears that Mantha had to settle for the short-term two-year deal, as he was reportedly pushing for a four-year deal in discussions with teams.
Mantha, 31, set career highs this past season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, with 33 goals and 64 points. But teams around the league were likely wary of the breakout somewhat, as Mantha had had three very disappointing seasons in the previous four years.
The Devils hope he will maintain the gear that he found in Pittsburgh in 2025-26.
