Rumor: Tyler Bozak to the Pittsburgh Penguins

With The Maple Leafs likely to lose a lot of depth up front this coming offseason, one must wonder whether or not they move them out via trades before they can walk.
One such player is center Tyler Bozak. The 31-year old was signed by Toronto out of college in 2009 and has remained with the team his whole career. But now with his contract expiring, and a young core likely to take up a quite a bit of cap, Bozak may seem like the odd one out.

Thankfully several teams would enjoy having his services, like the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was no secret that the Pens were trying to pick up Matt Duchene before he went to Ottawa, and they are now reportedly shopping around defenseman Ian Cole, a trade involving the two would likely benefit both teams very well. That being said, picks or prospects would almost certainly have to be exchanged, as Bozak and Cole are simply not on the same level.

Moreover, with the Pens Matt Murray listed as week-to-week, we may even  see a large scale trade involving Curtis McElhinney or Garret Sparks headed to Pittsburgh for more picks/prospects.
