You don't see this every day! Nazem Kadri and Joe Thornton squared off right off the opening face off during Thursday night's tilt between the Leafs and Sharks.




In what might be an even stranger turn of events, Kadri ends up with a hand full of Jumbo Joe's beard as a souvenir after the fight is over.

These two are fierce competitors and are at their best when they play like this. Hats off to Kadri for for fighting well out of his weight class and hats off to Joe for not even flinching when he lost a bushel of that beautiful beard during the scuffle.
