In case you missed it, Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov scored the goal of the year on Tuesday.
The 19 year old Russian scored a Michigan goal in a game against the Calgary Flames. That was actually the first time a player in the NHL has a scored the lacrosse move style goal in-game.

When asked about the goal in a post-game interview, Svechnikov said, "I practiced it earlier today."

Vancouver prospect Nils Höglander also hit the Michigan in a game last week, and the announcers tell the story themselves.
