Montreal Canadiens waive goalie Keith Kinkaid

The Montreal Canadiens have placed backup goalie Keith Kinkaid on waivers, the team announced to begin the week. The move is in hopes to get Kinkaid some playing time in the AHL to find his game as the struggle is real for Keith in red, blue and white.

The 30-year-old currently sits with a 4.24 goals against average and a .875 save %, which are obviously not what the Habs paid for when the gave Kinkaid a $1.75 million contract on July 1st, after he spent time with the New Jersey Devils.

The seven-year NHL vet, has a 64-55-17 record with a .906 save % and a 2.90 GAA over the course of his career.

It's time for Kinkaid to turns things around, and it appears today has been a day full of media coverage on teams' back up goaltenders.
