Minnesota Wild Have 2 Players Who Could be Traded This Offseason

The Minnesota Wild were outdone by the Vegas Golden Knights in seven games and now the offseason begins for general manager Bill Guerin. While losing in the first round will be disappointing for the Wild, their season should be deemed a success after low expectations heading in. Changes will be coming for the Wild and they have a couple of pieces who could be moved.

Two Players The Wild Could Trade:

Matt Dumba: The right-handed defenseman will once again find himself on the trade rumor mill this offseason. At 26, and with two seasons left on his contract paying him $6 million, Dumba will spark interest from several teams. Minnesota is desperate for a #1 center and moving Dumba could help their chances of landing one. Dumba holds no-trade protection, however it's only a 10-team list. Guerin will have lots of options if he wants to move on from the two-way defender.

Zach Parise: The veteran who found himself on the outside of the lineup looking in at times will be a topic of discussion this offseason. The team hasn't been shy trying to move Parise the past couple of offseasons and that won't be changing anytime soon. The 36-year-old holds a no-movement clause but does have a couple of teams he's apparently willing to play for. Look for the Wild to retain some salary as Parise makes over $7.5 million on the salary cap. 18 points in 45 games isn't worth that kind of money, but perhaps at $3.75 million a team takes a flyer.

The Wild have some core building blocks in place and will look to add some elite talent up front. Kirill the Thrill needs some running mates and a center to find him the puck. Expect a blockbuster move from Bill Guerin this offseason.
