NHL Rumors: 3 Possible Trade Destinations For J.T. Miller

One of the most intriguing names reportedly on the trading block right now is J.T. Miller. He's been the Vancouver Canucks' best player all season, but he also has an expiring contract at the end of next season. Therefore, we could see them opt to trade him while his value is at its highest. There is a real risk of losing him for nothing during the next offseason, too.

Here are three teams currently linked to him.

New York Rangers: It seems that the Rangers are interested in everybody right now, and that includes Miller. It would be a fun reunion to see come to fruition, and he certainly would help fill a major need they have. After losing Sammy Blais, they have been on the hunt for a top-six winger. Miller is capable of playing all three forward positions, so he surely could be a fit. With that, Ryan Strome has an expiring contract, so he could be a potential replacement as 2C if the former leaves.

Boston Bruins: The Bruins desperately need a second-line center, and Miller could be the perfect player to add. Although it would cost them a lot, he would also offer them the security of being under contract for next season, too. Furthermore, with Patrice Bergeron's future with the team uncertain, it wouldn't hurt to have extra insurance down the middle for next year.

Minnesota Wild: The Wild were the first team to enter the Miller sweepstakes, so one has to wonder if they will pull off the big splash. We recently reported that their primary goal is to add a center at the deadline, too. He would be an immediate fit in their top six and could be that player that helps them go on a long playoff run.
