Maple Leafs Send Pierre Engvall to Islanders

The Toronto Maple Leafs continued their busy day as general manager Kyle Dubas has sent forward Pierre Engvall to the New York Islanders.

Engvall is a pending unrestricted free agent who has been a staple on the Leafs third line. He doesn't produce much offensively and is known for his defensive instincts, speed and underwhelming physicality considering he's 6-foot-5.

Through 58 games this season, the 26-year-old Engvall has recorded 12 goals and 21 points. He'll join an Islanders team who are desperate for some more offense.

The Maple Leafs on the other hand have made three trades today alone and word is Dubas and company are not done just yet.
