3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for Max Pacioretty

Max Pacioretty showed outstanding determination this season, as he returned from his second Achilles tear. Overall, he had a decent campaign for the Washington Capitals once he got healthy, and he should get interest around the NHL in free agency if he elects to continue his career. Let's discuss three teams who could look to add him now.

Florida Panthers: Pacioretty was reportedly open to waiving his no-trade clause to join the Florida Panthers this season. With the Panthers having multiple free agents, it would not be too surprising if they targeted Pacioretty this summer. He could likely be had at an affordable price and could fit in nicely in their middle six.

New York Rangers: The New York Rangers are likely to look to add a top-nine forward this offseason. They were reportedly interested in Pacioretty nearing the trade deadline, and there could be a great fit there. This is especially so if they can convince the Connecticut native is willing to sign a low-cost deal.

Washington Capitals: Perhaps the Capitals could consider keeping Pacioretty around. He showed loyalty to them by sticking around for the remainder of the season. He also showed that he can still provide decent secondary production.
