NHL Trade Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations for Bruins' Pavel Zacha
The Boston Bruins could be in the trade market this summer, with veteran center Pavel Zacha a prime candidate to be moved.
Zacha, 28, appeared in 82 games for the Bruins last season, scoring 14 goals and 47 points. He's spent three years in Boston to this point, with his best season coming in 2023-24, when he registered 59 points in 78 games. Unfortunately, in 20 Stanley Cup Playoffs games with the B's, Zacha's game has dropped off significantly, collecting just one goal.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Zacha is a prime candidate to be dealt this offseason:
The Bruins explored the trade market on Zacha during the season and there is belief out there that Boston is looking, again, at moving him. His 10-team no-trade list turns to an eight-team list July 1, so he does have some say in where he ends up, if dealt. He has two years remaining on his contract.
Zacha has been linked to the Vancouver Canucks, Utah Mammoth, and San Jose Sharks. He has two seasons left on his deal at $4.75 million AAV, and does hold an eight-team no-trade clause on his contract.
The Bruins have had a relatively quiet offseason to this point, so they are becoming a team to watch as free agency doesn't appear to be a path they wanted to travel down. Now, trade talks heat up, and with Brad Marchand sticking around in Florida, it's obvious there's a new core in Boston moving forward, one which likely includes the return of what the team receives in a Zacha trade.
