Keith Tkachuk on Brady's Future in Ottawa: 'He's not going anywhere'
If you ask Brady Tkachuk's father Keith, the Ottawa Senators captain isn't going anywhere.
Keith, the former NHL legend, was recently asked during an EA Sports shoot about what he felt the future had in store for his youngest son, and even though there's been plenty of rumors surrounding Brady eventually making his way to play with his older brother Matthew, Keith doesn't feel that's going to be the case at all.
Tkachuk spoke to ESPN earlier this week, and shed some light on the situation for the Senators' captain:
“I wouldn’t believe everything you hear. I think after what happened with Matthew in Calgary, everyone just assumes that’s going to happen with Brady [in Ottawa]. But Brady loves it there. Brady has really cemented himself in the community. They’re a team on the rise. They got a great bunch of young players. They’re core players. The fans and the city itself treat him so well. He wants to be a big part of that moving forward. So I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”
The Tkachuk trio will be the cover boys for NHL 26 the deluxe edition. For now, it appears Brady isn't going anywhere, but if the Senators aren't able to continue to climb to contention in the Eastern Conference, it's going to be an interesting storyline to follow.
Tkachuk has three seasons left on his deal at $8.2 million AAV, and holds a full no-movement clause. So, the Tkachuk's are staying put for now, but can the same be said about Quinn Hughes in Vancouver?
