Video: CBC's Kevin Bieksa calls out Flames' Yegor Sharangovich
The Calgary Flames are off to a brutal start this season, and the media in Canada isn't holding back.
After the Flames recent 6-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, CBC analyst, and former NHL defenceman Kevin Bieksa called out the Flames for their lack of effort, and singled out forward Yegor Sharangovich.
The 27-year-old Flames forward has posted one point in six games, and against the Golden Knights on Saturday, played 15:00 of ice-time, was a minus -1 rating, and didn't have a shot on goal.
Bieksa broke down Sharangovich's effort level below, as it's obviously not good enough if the Flames want to turn things around:

Kevin is spot on. Sharangovich was terrible last season and it's continued into this season. The lack of intensity. physicality, and compete is not good enough.

Calgary has started the new season 1-5-0 and sit last in the Western Conference. They've allowed a whopping 25 goals through six games, while only scoring 11 goals. Not good enough, and if things don't turn around quick, it could become a fire sale for the Flames.
