Buffalo Sabres Provide Update On Top Forward
The Buffalo Sabres have dominated the series with the Boston Bruins. With a 2-1 lead and head coach Lindy Ruff demonstrating that the team has the depth to keep the team in the W column, the Sabres still remain without forward Josh Norris.
Norris, 26, played a total of 16:39 in Game 2, had one shot on goal, and one hit in the Sabres' only loss thus far.
Norris: Day-To-Day
He'd be given "day-to-day" status by the Sabres, with Norris injury being undisclosed. The team has held the line despite missing the forward who has played a total of 44 games this year, scoring 13 goals and 34-points.
This has been the second time this season that he's missed an indeterminate amount of time after dealing with a rib injury before.
Now, head coach Lindy Ruff has an update on Norris' Game 4 status:
Lindy Ruff said Josh Norris is still day-to-day. No further update than that.

Norris was acquired in trade with defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker from the Ottawa Senators for Dylan Cozens, defenseman Dennis Gilbert, and a 2nd-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
It appears that the Sabres have benefited from the trade with Norris, providing secondary-scoring depth to the team's lineup.
He's been part of a scrappy squad that quickly ascended to the top of the Atlantic Division near the end of the regular season.
But his first-year with the team was riddled with injuries too, as he missed 18-games dealing with a torn oblique.
A trend that has harmed the outlook of the 19th overall pick in 2017's NHL career. Once considered a forward with untapped potential, it is now characterized as an injury-riddled project.
