3 Potential Trade Destinations for Wild's Filip Gustavsson

Filip Gustavsson, Wild

Minnesota Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson could be a trade candidate to watch during the offseason. With Jesper Wallstedt stealing Minnesota's crease this playoffs, it is fair to wonder if the Wild could be open to moving Gustavsson during the summer if it helps them upgrade their roster elsewhere.

Because of this, let's look at three teams that could target Gustavsson this summer if he is made available by the Wild.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers still need help between the pipes, so it would not be surprising if they kicked tires on Gustavsson this summer. He would provide them with a clear upgrade over Tristan Jarry and Connor Ingram if acquired. He would also be a long-term answer in net for the Oilers, as his five-year, $34 million contract extension does not kick in until next season.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights could be on the hunt for goalie help this offseason, as all of their goalies had under a .900 save percentage during this season. With this, if the Golden Knights want to add a proven No. 1 goalie during the summer, Gustavsson would make sense for them as a target.

Florida Panthers

If the Panthers lose Sergei Bobrovsky through free agency, Gustavsson would have the potential to be a strong replacement for him. He would give them another starting-caliber goaltender, which would be a real need for Florida if Bobrovsky walks.
