Ducks' Battered and Bruised Top-Six Forward Inuries Detailed

With the Vegas Golden Knights advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, an itemization of injuries is released as teams detail what was ailing them.

Many of these injuries are gruesome, and it seems a herculean task that they would play while being tormented by broken bones, lacerated organs, and torn ligaments.

In hockey, the warrior mentality reigns supreme.

Cutter Gauthier, a top-six forward of the Anaheim Ducks, a future superstar, detailed the pain he's endured since the end of March, up until elimination from the Stanley Cup playoffs.

He broke his L1 and L2 vertebrae on March 30th against the Maple Leafs, which at the time was classified as an "upper-body injury".

The 5th overall pick in 2022 still managed to produce at a point-per-game pace in the Stanley Cup playoffs against both the Golden Knights and the Edmonton Oilers.

In 12 games as a Duck under head coach Joel Quenneville, the former Philadelphia Flyers draft pick scored 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists).

Gauthier was traded by the Flyers and general manager Danny Brier for defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a 2nd-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft (Jack Murtagh, US NDTP, 41st overall).

He's outproduced his former teammate, Drysdale, who suited up for the Flyers this season, who played a total of ten games in the postseason, scoring 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists)
