Flyers Get Devastating Update on Injured Noah Cates
After the Philadelphia Flyers' 3-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 2 of their second-round series, forward Noah Cates was seen sitting on an equipment box and being wheeled to the locker room, per reports. "He didn’t seem to be writhing in pain," said Jordan Hall, "but the Flyers clearly didn’t want him putting pressure on one of his legs."
On Wednesday, the word has come down on the severity of his injury, and it's not good: Cates has been ruled out for the rest of the series.

Cates has produced four points and 19 hits during the Flyers' six-game series victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins, but zero points and just two shots on goal through the first two games of the Carolina series.
The 27-year-old registered a career-high 18 goals and 47 points in 82 regular-season games, while handing out 102 hits and posting an impressive plus/minus of +26. The two-way forward will be severely missed by the Flyers.
He signed a four-year, $16 million extension ($4M AAV) last summer.
Head coach Rick Tocchet said forward Christian Dvorak is likely to play in Game 3, while Owen Tippett will be a game-time decision.
