There's already been a goalie trade this summer, and all signs are pointing to another one in the coming week. New Jersey Devils goaltender Jacob Markstrom is currently on the trade market, as new general manager Sunny Mehta would like to reshape his crease.
Nick Kypreos: It’s not clear what the market is for Jacob Markstrom at this stage, but the Devils are in the process of figuring that out - Sportsnet (6/22)
Markstrom, 36, has two seasons left on his contract at $6 million AAV, and owns a 20-team no trade list, which does complicate things slightly for Mehta. Markstrom went 23-19-1 last season, posting a 3.07 goals against average, and .883 save percentage.

There's been plenty of goalie trade talks this summer with Joseph Woll already being moved to the Philadelphia Flyers. The Buffalo Sabres are open to a move, the Florida Panthers don't have any goalies signed for next season, and the Winnipeg Jets are working on a Connor Hellebuyck trade.

Markstrom's going to get moved, and could be headed to Winnipeg, if he's open to it. If he does approve the move, there's been plenty of chatter about the Devils sending all of the draft picks they received from the Calgary Flames for Simon Nemec in a recent deal.

Markstrom is going to get traded, it just depends where at this point. Jake Allen may not be the starting goaltender for the Devils next season, but it appears he'll have a new tandem partner to battle it out with for the starter's crease.
