Drew Doughty LA NHL Rumours

The LA Kings are close to a deal with their young defenceman Drew Doughty for the 2011-2012 NHL season. Doughty is already a top 10 defencemen. The LA Kings are banking on him getting better and have offered him a 7 year deal at $52 million, a cap hit of $7.42 million per season.

Doughty put up 40 points last year and 59 points the year before so he is worth $6 million on the open market. Paying him $7.42 million per season is Shea Weber and Steven Stamkos money.
