NHLTR: Maple Leafs and Ducks discuss goalie swap

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a short leash around Michael Hutchinson's goalie gear, and if the back up to Freddie Andersen isn't capable of a win during his next start, the team is ready to move on. The Anaheim Ducks have been on their radar, and Ryan Miller could be the perfect replacement.

For Leafs Nation, they are all too familiar with Miller, as the American tendy ran the Maple Leafs show for years as a member of the Buffalo Sabres. The believe is, Miller is content in California, however, if the opportunity presents itself to head to a playoff team, he would love to, for what could be his last season. His no-trade clause only covers 6 teams, so there's potential for him to approve the deal if the Leafs are heading towards a run.

Miller is a UFA after this year, and with his $1.125 million dollar cap hit, the Leafs can manage to fit the 39 year old in. Hutchinson would head the other way in the deal, along with a mid-level prospect, and potentially a late pick.

Miller has appeared in 9 games this year, posting a 3.00 goals against, and a .908 save %, meanwhile, Hutchinson sits with a 4.55 goals against, and has yet to win a game.

It may take a while for Leafs Nation to warm up to Miller....
