Edmonton Oilers Fans HATE Tyson Barrie: Want Him Gone
Tyson Barrie made his first return to Toronto after signing a one year, $3.75 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers. Barrie did not have a fantastic season in Toronto and he is hoping to bounce back to his usual self. Oilers fans haven't seen this turnaround and are already treating him as the 'whipping boy'.
Love it or hate it, Canadian hockey fan bases are passionate about their teams. Regardless of where a team ranks in the standings, there is always a player the fanbase chooses to pick on. Tyson Barrie is the newest member of the whipping boy club in Edmonton after assuming the role in Toronto. He was trending on Twitter earlier this week and it was a continuous onslaught of criticizing his lack of defensive play and poor positioning.
