Rangers Sign Forward To Extension

The New York Rangers have signed Sammy Blais to a one-year, $1.525 million contract extension.

Blais missed all but 14 games this season, as he, unfortunately, tore his ACL and was unable to return. During them, he recorded four assists and sported a plus-4 rating. His physical style of play also came as advertised, as he already had 37 hits on the year before his season-ending injury.

Blais was inching closer to returning during the postseason, so he will be ready to go for the start of the 2022-23 season. It will be intriguing to see what the 26-year-old can do for the Rangers this time around.
