3 Potential Trade Destinations for Panthers' Radko Gudas

The Florida Panthers are in the market to move some of their rentals as the team is trying to re-tool while creating some cap flexibility for next offseason. Sam Reinhart and Sam Bennett have been linked to trades and the same can be said for rugged defenseman Radko Gudas. Here's three potential trade destinations:

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins are looking for some more sandpaper and could find exactly that in adding Gudas. He's making $2.5 million this season against the cap and could be fit in easily by Penguins GM Ron Hextall. With the uncertainty health status of Kris Letang and Jeff Petry, Hextall is looking to add another right-handed defenseman.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Leafs are in the market for just about anything as Kyle Dubas looks to upgrade his team before March 3. Toronto has dealt with a number of injuries and right now TJ Brodie and Jake Muzzin are on the shelve. Muzzin is expected to be out for the season and Toronto could turn to Gudas to come in and help shut-down opponents and kill penalties.

Tampa Bay Lightning

One team who knows Gudas well, the Lightning will be looking to add some under-the-radar type players who don't cost a whole lot. Gudas likely gets dealt for a third-round pick and a prospect, something the Lightning can afford. He's battled tested for the playoffs and the Lightning love adding players who have the compete level that matches the rest of their team.
