Shocking News on Connor McDavid Ahead of Oilers/Ducks Game 5
The Edmonton Oilers are down 3-1 in their first-round series against the Anaheim Ducks. Game 5 tonight is a win-or-go-home affair for the Oil. And now we've learned that there's a chance they may have to face it without the best player in the world.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch told the media Tuesday after the game-day skate that Connor McDavid, as well as Jason Dickinson, are "game-time decisions".

McDavid was not on the ice once again this morning with the team. That in itself isn't news, as he hasn't been for the last few game-day skates. But what is notable is that Knoblauch had assured the media on the earlier occasions that his captain would be playing that night. Not this time, however.
"What would it take to have him out of a game like this with the season on the line?" asked insider Chris Johnston, incredulously. "It's certainly a cause for concern."
McDavid has been less than 100% this series, now is a game-time decision for Game 5
No doubt that McJesus has not been 100% throughout this series. That was obvious as we all watched him go point-less in the first two games. He bounced back a little with a goal and three assists in the past two games, but he's obviously still battling something.
As for Dickinson, he had a big two-goal effort in Game 1 of this series, but was forced to sit out of Games 2 and 3 due to injury. He returned for Game 4, but is questionable again for tonight.
The other big news out of Oilers' practice is that Connor Ingram is coming back in between the pipes after sitting out Game 4 in favour of Tristan Jarry.

Ingram had an .849 save percentage over the first three games, while Jarry stopped 34 of 38 shots in Game 4 (.895 Sv%).
