Montreal Canadiens & New York Rangers Linked to Huge Trade

The Montreal Canadiens are making a push for a top-six forward, and New York Rangers center Vincent Trocheck is gaining steam up their wish list.

The Rangers have put Trocheck back on the trade market, after having several offers come in before March's deadline, to only sit Trocheck from games and not trade him, to now reach summertime, and Trocheck's name is once again making rounds. The two-way center is one of the best second-line centers in the league, and the Habs want to pair him with Nick Suzuki down the middle.

Trocheck has has three years left on his deal at $5.6 million AAV, and does own a 10-team no-trade list. Word is most of those teams are in the Western Conference, and there's certainly a good chance he could approve a deal to Montreal.

Rangers general manager Chris Drury has been very busy of late in trade talks, trying to land Mason McTavish from the Anaheim Ducks, while also trying to acquire another top-10 pick in the draft. The Rangers have several irons in the fire, and expect some fireworks from Drury this weekend.

As far as trade offers go, look for the Canadiens to offer Owen Beck, David Reinbacher, and a first-round pick, and don't expect to see them offer Michael Hage in this deal.
