Toronto Maple Leafs Reject Multiple Trade Offers

Toronto Maple Leafs are open for business, but that doesn't mean general manager John Chayka is going to cave in to trade offers he's not interested in.

The Leafs GM admitted on Thursday he's received several trade offers for the first-overall draft pick at Friday's draft, but he's going to be using the pick, and it's very likely going to be Gavin McKenna selected with the top pick.

Chayka has several irons in the fire at the moment and the trade talks have intensified the last few days. The Leafs have already moved Joseph Woll and Simon Benoit to the Philadelphia Flyers, completed a sign-and-trade for defenceman Darren Raddysh, and reports have confirmed Chayka is in advanced trade talks on Morgan Rielly, Brandon Carlo, Nick Robertson and Matias Maccelli.

There's also been a ton of speculation about Anthony Stolarz, but Chayka said Thursday that if the season started today, Stolarz would be available to play and would be the Leafs' starter. Chayka also admitted he's trying to secure another top-10 pick at Friday's draft and has held talks with each of the teams in the top 10.

For now, Matthew Knies stays and there's no indication he'll be traded this offseason. Auston Matthews and Knies are close, and moving Knies could really set off the Leafs' captain, and could bring his future with the franchise in question.

Expect to see multiple moves by the Leafs this weekend, with Rielly and Carlo the most likely Maple Leafs to be moved this summer.
