Forget about Jason Robertson signing some huge offer sheet somewhere. As of 5pm ET on Sunday, the Dallas Stars' restricted free agent has officially filed for arbitration, making him no longer eligible to receive an offer sheet.
That means either an arbitrator will decide on Robertson's contract for the 2026-27 season, and he'll walk into unrestricted free agency next summer if there is no extension, OR the Stars will somehow work out a trade for him between now and the arbitration hearing a few weeks from now.

The rest of the arbitration filers, totaling 15 in all, are as follows:

Like Robertson, we can scratch off any offer sheets for any of the above.

NY Rangers' defenseman Braden Schneider has been the subject of trade talks, as the Blueshirts explore using him as a trade chip. The 24-year-old has been nothing if not durable the past four seasons, missing a total of only three games over that time.

But Schneider is unlikely to have a role in the Rangers' top four next season, after the acquisition of Sean Durzi on the right side to line up behind Adam Fox on the top pairing. The Rangers also added Marcus Pettersson for their top four, on the left side. They don't seem interested in committing long-term to Schneider.

Two Philadelphia Flyers have taken themselves out of the offer sheet mix by filing, Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale.

Others who will be heading to arbitration (unless an extension can be reached with their respective teams, or a trade emerges) include Cole Perfetti of the Winnipeg Jets, St. Louis Blues' recently-acquired center Connor McMichael, and two goalies—Florida Panthers' Akira Schmid and Jet Greaves of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
